North West of England pipe band

A Message from Pipe Major Dennis Robinson
My name is Dennis Robinson. I have been playing the pipes since I was 11 years of age and I am now 59. I have competed during this time and in the year 2000 became the North West of England Solo Piping Champion in the slow air category. I have also won several other prizes .I have been teaching the art of piping for many years, some of my pupils having become prize winners in their own right.
I was a reserve Pipe Major for the Liverpool Scottish many years ago and until recently was the Pipe Major of the Wirral Pipe Band. With assistance I took them to be one of the leading bands in the North West of England.  Now the time has come for me to start a new band based on the Wirral. We call ourselves the City of Liverpool Pipes & Drums. The name was chosen from many  put forward by our members. It is the largest and nearest city to our practice location and we have members who hail from those shores.
We welcome new faces to join us at practice. Indeed we know there are a lot of people out there who are previous pipe band members. Perhaps you are one of those people? Maybe you are skilled in the art of piping or drumming? We are always keen to be approached by anyone who can assist us or who would like to pass on skills to us.
Maybe you have had an ambition to learn the pipes or drums? Please contact us. We are a friendly bunch of people from all walks of life enjoying our hobby whilst at the same time trying to improve. If interested don't be shy. Get in touch.
Regards, Dennis Robinson, Pipe Major, City of Liverpool Pipes & Drums.
